Olea europea L. is an evergreen tree that can reach a height of 3-13 m. The olive tree develops an irregular, gnarled and branched trunk. The leaves are oval, while the color of the leaves on the back is dark green, while the underside is whitish silver. The fruit is oval in shape and dark green to black.

Conventional medicine and phytotherapy use olive leaf extracts to treat and prevent arterial hypertension. Many studies have shown that olive leaves can lower blood pressure, increase blood flow through the coronary arteries and normalize heart rate.
